Dr. S. Radhakrishanan Library
The Library is the most
important department in the college. The collection of books is the first
foremost function of the Library. One should keep in mind that it is not
only the store of books, but it is an activity through which major role
can be played in providing access to the knowledge. So, keeping in mind
these views, college always endeavors to enrich the Library by adding
quality text books, reference books etc. which benefit students and
teachers as well.
College has separate,
spacious Library building, constructed with the financial assistance of U.
G. C. and named in the memory of late Dr. S. Radhakrishanan, the then
President of India, great Philosopher and a teacher.
Library has a separate common
reading hall, cubical for staff, ladies reading room and reading
room for Postgraduate students. The process of computerization has been
started and SOUL software has been purchased for this. Mr. U.B.Deshmukh
(Ex. Librarian ) contribution is very admirable.At present Shri. Dhakade
is in charge Librarian and is also a devotee libriran. At present there
are more than 20,000 books(reference and text)and nearly 20 different
Academic periodicals have been subscribed.
